:BIO:

Venezuelan-born, Miami-based Moises Sanabria is an interdisciplinary artist whose work extends dialectics of machine philosophy alongside trends in memetics and branding through the context of networked social-media life. Moises’ work is philosophical and political, joining academic aesthetics with internet meme cultures. His practice is deeply entangled with digital newness, using live-streaming, video, new media, machine learning, and installation to connect science advancement with art further. Moises co-founded the new artificial intelligence media channel AI24. Previously, he was an active member of the digital art collective ART404 (Artnotfound) from 2011 to 2019, which he co-founded. Moises attended the School of Poetic Computation and the Cooper Union in New York. He has exhibited at Transmediale 2k+12, Hause Der Kulturen Der Welt (Berlin), Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, Bikini Wax Gallery (Mexico City), Kunsthalle Giessen (Berlin), and has participated in group shows internationally. In addition, he has been featured in Rhizome and The Miami Rail.

Moises: I’m Moises, an artist with a deep passion for the intersection of technology and creativity. My journey into the world of art and AI began when I realized the incredible potential of AI to transform artistic expression. I’ve always been fascinated by the fusion of art and technology, and AI provided a unique canvas for exploration.

Q: Your work explores the connection between human emotion and AI. How do you see this relationship shaping the future of art and creativity?**

Moises: The relationship between human emotion and AI is a compelling one. AI can analyze and interpret human emotions, and this opens up new avenues for art. It allows us to create art that responds to human feelings and engages with viewers on a profound emotional level. This fusion of human emotion and AI-driven art holds great promise for the future of creativity.

Q: Your film, the AI love letter, explores the concept of human connection in a digital age. Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind this project and the message you aimed to convey?**

Moises: “The AI Love Letter” was inspired by the idea of forming genuine connections in the digital realm. In a world where technology connects us with people we’ve never met, I wanted to explore the emotional depth of these connections. The film delves into the uncertainty and curiosity of meeting someone online, emphasizing the potential for real human connections in the digital age.

Q: How has AI influenced your creative process, and what unique capabilities does it bring to the world of art that traditional methods cannot replicate?**

Moises: AI has had a profound impact on my creative process. It acts as both a collaborator and a source of inspiration. AI can generate ideas, patterns, and even emotions that might be beyond human imagination. It offers endless possibilities for experimentation and allows artists to push the boundaries of traditional methods. It’s a tool that can amplify creativity and bring new dimensions to art.

Q: Looking ahead, what do you envision for the future of art and AI? How will this partnership continue to evolve and shape the art world?**

Moises: The future of art and AI is incredibly exciting. We will see more artists embracing AI as a creative partner, pushing the limits of what’s possible. AI-generated art will become more integrated into our daily lives, and human-AI collaboration will become the norm rather than the exception. This partnership will continue to evolve, challenging our notions of art and creativity and opening up new horizons for artistic expression.
