Artist Statement:
Aldo Luna’s artwork, Grace between Spaces, embodies transformation, resilience, and self-discovery through powerful symbolic imagery. The piece features a woman suspended between realms, grounding one foot in swirling sand while cradling a pearl—a symbol of wisdom and beauty—amid swirling water that echoes the form of a wing. This serene, upward-floating figure illustrates the grace found in moments of uncertainty, embodying a calm strength as she transitions between the dark mystery of a nebula and the hopeful glow of a peach sunrise. Through this contrast of light and dark, Luna invites viewers to embrace the journey of navigating life’s complexities with resilience and grace.
Bio:
Based in Miami and raised in Little Havana, Aldo Luna is a self-described “multi-dimensionalist” artist whose work spans the physical, digital, and metaphysical. Known for his depictions of natural and cosmological figures, he merges his background in fine art, film studies, computer animation, and music production to create imaginative explorations of the universe. Luna studied Fine Art and Film at Design & Architecture Senior High (DASH), pursued 3D art at Florida Atlantic University, and earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Animation from Full Sail University. Beyond formal education, he remains passionately committed to researching new artistic techniques and technologies.
Luna’s work has been displayed in various art galleries and museums, and he shares his expertise by teaching workshops to aspiring young artists. For Grace between Spaces, he plans to incorporate an augmented reality animation accessible through an app, overlaying his artwork with digital enhancements when viewed in person, adding a new layer of interactivity.
