Artist Statement:
Known as “Politics,” Colombian-born artist Daniel Acero is the creative force behind Kinetic Impressions, a term he coined to capture his distinct approach to three-dimensional art. His sculptures are immersive experiences that explore movement, texture, and symbolism, inviting viewers into a contemplative space that transcends the physical form. With a background in product design, Politics shifted from traditional design to crafting singular masterpieces, meticulously shaping materials like wood, paint, plastic, and metal into dynamic forms. Each piece is a journey—an exploration of fluidity and expression—that pushes the boundaries of traditional sculpture, offering viewers a unique aesthetic experience that speaks to the relationship between thought and creation.

Daniel Acero, known artistically as Politics, was born in 1983 in the serene city of Fusagasuga, Colombia. At 14, he relocated to Miami, where he found inspiration in the city’s diversity and vibrancy. Originally trained in product design, Politics redefined his career path, turning from product creation to sculpting unique, one-of-a-kind works. Through each series, he aims to evoke diverse emotions and new perspectives, offering collectors exclusive art that transcends traditional categories. His pieces celebrate his fascination with shaping raw materials into fluid forms that challenge viewers to engage both visually and intellectually.
