Director Spotlight: Aurélie Meriel

Aurélie Meriel is a multidisciplinary French artist based in London. Her work spans sculpture, painting, photography, and film, with a focus on gender politics, domesticity, and generational transmission. A graduate of Middlesex University, Meriel’s artistic approach intertwines performance and visual storytelling, leaving space for improvisation and chance.

“Making is at the center of my process. I recreate objects, interact with them through performance, and transform them into something entirely new.
