Miami’s Budget Restores Arts Funding — But Our Work is Not Over

Gratitude and Recognition
This month, we witnessed the power of collective action. We thank Mayor Daniella Levine Cava for reshaping the budget to reflect the true value of arts and culture. This progress was made possible because artists, organizations, and our community raised their voices together.

The Work is Not Over
The budget is not final. Our organizing must continue until it is passed by the Board of County Commissioners this September. Beyond this vote, we will keep fighting to ensure arts and culture funding is never threatened again.

Arts in Every Budget
Arts must be included in every budget — not treated as optional. We are not extras. We are central to Miami’s economy, identity, and future. Artists, cultural workers, and organizations sustain Miami’s vibrancy, strengthen our economy, and enrich every neighborhood.

Who We Are
We are the culture. We are creatives, cultural workers, audiences, and patrons — the community that powers Miami’s cultural life.

Call to Action
We are united, and we will not be silent. Together, we will ensure Miami continues investing in the creativity and cultural life that make this county thrive.

Thank You, Miami
In this critical moment, we pause to express our gratitude:

  • Thank you, Miami, for believing in creativity.
  • Thank you for honoring our culture and preserving our legacy.
  • Thank you for protecting our identity, uplifting artistic expression, and fueling empowerment.
  • Thank you for defending freedom of creativity and amplifying our voices.
  • Thank you for inspiring imagination, nurturing connections, and investing in innovation.

Thank you, Miami, for believing in a collective vision for the future.
