The Evolutionary Loop We’re All Trapped In
In this meditative audiovisual journey, Bink van Vollenhoven takes us through the spiraling transformations of existence—from quantum origins to artificial intelligence, from primal instinct to digital absurdity. With an oil painting as its backdrop, and choreographed movement and original piano as its spine, this work oscillates between chaos and balance, offering a poetic reminder: everything eventually returns home.
The film acts as a mirror to our time—a slow-motion collapse into capitalist absurdity, war, and automation—yet it holds space for rebirth. We feel the friction between human essence and the synthetic future. But through layered symbolism, the artist suggests we are not lost—we are in process.
