“In Search of Time”
Director: Pierre Zandrowicz, Matt Tierney
Bio: Pierre Zandrowicz : Beginning his career in digital content at Premiere Heure, an advertising agency in Paris, Pierre is a director/filmmaker whose passion for visual storytelling has pushed him to create a wide range of memorable and awarded works. He was one of the first filmmakers in Europe to try and create narrative VR fiction. He made the first VR short fiction to be broadcast in France (via Arte 360), I, PHILIP. Since then, he has worked as a creative producer on internationally renowned VR projects such as ALTERATION, VESTIGE, and BATTLESCAR. Using these new techniques and through clever use of imagery, Pierre has the ability to create authentic and engaging experiences, giving depth to storytelling. Besides being a founding member of Atlas V and helping independent filmmakers achieve their creative visions, Pierre also develops his own immersive experiences. An example of this body of work includes CHAUVET: THE DAWN OF ART , nominated for an Emmy Award this year. Another is MIRROR, a sci-fi VR experience he directed that was selected at the Venice film festival 2020. During the pandemic, with Ferdinand Dervieux, he co-created WHAT IS LEFT OF REALITY, an immersive installation about eco-anxiety (selected at Mutek, BFI film festival, Giff…)
– Matt Tierney : At the intersection of art and technology, Matt’s work has been seen in museums, alongside Warhol and Basqiuat, in the private collections of Norman Rosenthal, Daniel Wolf and Maya Lin, David Hockney, and George Baselitz, in public spaces, and at music and film festivals including La Luna, and Tribeca Film Festival.
