Director: Rio Angelo

Bio:
Rio Angelo is an 18 year old Queer Afro-Honduran Director and Writer who immigrated to the US at age 12. A month after graduating high school, Rio began production on their micro-budget self-produced short film ‘June 1st.’

Film: ‘June 1st’ is a quiet meditation on the insecurities of young artists which follows Megan, an aspiring model living in South Florida on her 16th birthday, as she reflects upon her dreams for the future and her turbulent relationship with her mother.
