Bio: [dNASAb] is an innovative sculptor of ecosystems, infusing discarded materials and consumer electronics while pioneering new technologies through extended, augmented realities. His new project, Faux Ecologies + Augmented Visions of the Nature-verse, blends environmental conservation, art, and technology to engage viewers as co-creators and advocates for sustainability. The artist seeks to challenge prevailing notions of loss, decay, e-waste, and environmental degradation.

“Faux Ecologies + Augmented Visions of the Nature-verse” is a comprehensive initiative aimed at combating the threats faced by the near-shore reefs of South Florida and Biscayne Bay. As an avid scuba diver, [dNASAb] leads underwater clean-up efforts to remove fishing gear and other harmful debris from the reef ecosystem. On the shore, the artist collects coral fossils, sea fans, sponges, and debris. These elements are reconfigured to reflect the vibrancy of the reef environment. Through Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted film-making, they become a bittersweet life form that implies dystopic possibilities in an unknown future.
