“SOLO”
Director:Gabriele Esposito
Film: SOLO
Bio: “SOLO”, by Gabriele Esposito, is the story of a man who, after a night spent in a modest hotel, suddenly finds himself in a city which is unpopulated. He finds the reception empty, has breakfast as sole customer, then goes out from the hotel and notices that nobody is around.
He is in total despair. He goes to a pharmacy to get some medicines against anxiety, and he needs to look for the right one alone, as there is nobody there to help him. He goes around the
city and decides to enjoy the total freedom that the situation entails, first getting rid of his clothes, then deciding to try new experiences such as eating in a Michelin restaurant, performing a piano piece, stealing a painting in a musem and sleeping in a luxurious hotel different from the one he was staying. In the morning, he wakes up and people is back, the streets are crowdy. And in the hotel, the paying guest is there with him, sharing the same bed.
