“ANATEMA”
Director: Santiago Echeverry
Film: ANATEMA
Bio: The word Anathema means “something or someone that one vehemently dislikes”, and acts as the guideline for a study on the extremes that a person can go through when modifying their bodies through tattoos and surgeries. At the end the short film is a portrait of Doug’s empowerment, a man that in spite of his radical transformations has found a new sense of freedom, liberated from taboos and societal constrictions. The short was created using the Xbox Kinect 3D sensor, Processing 3.0 to generate the individual still frames of the animation, and edited on After Effects and Premiere. Music by Mexican electronic musician ZOONOSIS.
