Bio: Sydney Mills is a filmmaker and artist working primarily within the mediums of video, photography and sculpture.

Mills received her MFA in Photography & Media from California Institute of the Arts in 2018 and her BA in Fine Art from the University of Southern California in 2010.

Mills has been featured in over 40 art shows, film festivals and screenings. She has shown her films and artworks internationally in Austria, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea and Switzerland, as well as at various Los Angeles based art spaces, including The Box, Los Angeles Municipal Gallery, Keystone Gallery, and Monte Vista Projects. She lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Mills’ artistic work is a dark and introspective journey into the depths of the human experience, a critique of the forces that seek to dehumanize us, and an exploration of the anxieties that haunt our collective consciousness. Her lifelong love of music videos, science fiction, and body horror has been her prime source of artistic inspiration, guiding her in crafting surreal visual narratives.
